Each helicopter is booked through its own Airbnb listing — just hit “Book Now” on the pod's page and you'll be taken straight there with your dates carried over, with the full protection of Airbnb's booking and payment system.
A small kitchenette (fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster) with crockery, cutlery and a washing-up kit for four; electric lighting and USB charging sockets inside; a drinking-water tap outside; and a picnic bench and gravelled area of your own. There's a double bed and a set of bunk beds, sleeping up to four.
This is a basic glamping experience, so bring your own bedding (a duvet or sleeping bag — whatever you sleep best in), pillows and towels. Bring your food and drink too. There's heating, electricity and USB charging inside, so no need to pack for the cold, but there's no wifi.
Not inside the helicopter. There are shower and toilet facilities, plus a pot-wash area, on the campsite at North Yorkshire Water Park — a short walk from the pods.
There's heating inside the helicopter, but no hot water in the airframe. For hot showers, toilets and a pot-wash there's a facilities block on the campsite, about 25 metres away. You'll just need to bring your own bedding for the night.
Not in the helicopters, sorry — they're not suitable for pets. You're very welcome to bring your dog if you book one of the standard camping pods on site at North Yorkshire Water Park instead.
A few, to keep the campsite peaceful for everyone: no music after 10pm and no noise after 10:30pm; please use the bins provided; no open fires, no disposable BBQs on the grass and no generators. One car is permitted per pitch — extra cars and visitors' cars go in the visitor car park, and day visitors need to leave the site by 9pm.
Yes — there's one free parking space on site per pod. Arrival directions are sent with your booking confirmation.
Helicopters weren't designed with step-free access in mind — you'll need to climb steps up into the airframe, and the ground is uneven. Please contact us before booking if you have specific access needs and we'll be completely honest about what's possible.
