XZ589 is a genuine RAF Search & Rescue Sea King, converted into one of the most unusual places you'll ever spend the night.
Inside it's one open-plan space: a double bed down at the tail, a set of bunk beds, a seating area and a small kitchenette — plus a dining spot for two up in the original cockpit, complete with the real dials and switches. Outside you get a picnic bench for four and your own gravelled area.
This is proper, back-to-basics glamping, so come prepared. No bedding or towels are provided, and there's no hot water or heating inside the airframe — bring your sleeping bags and a sense of adventure. There are lights and USB charging sockets inside, and a drinking-water tap just outside. Shower and toilet facilities and a pot-wash area are on the campsite, a short walk away.
